Houseplants Gifts

House plant gifts have grown in popularity over the last few years and for good reason

Houseplants make ideal gifts for anything from a housewarming to a gift to say congrats on a new job. We're delighted to now have a great range of British Grown houseplants alongside our popular favourites from Holland.

Plants have been shown to help improve mental well-being

Whether it's an on-trend houseplant like dracaena, a classic cheese plant or an easy-care succulent we've got just the thing to bring calming greenery to the home.

Giving houseplants a second chance

We strongly feel that even if it isn't looking its best, a plant should be given a second chance which is why we have introduced our houseplant rescue box. This contains 2 good quality houseplants that have failed one of our stringent quality checks. At Plants4Presents we specialise in plants as gifts so our standards are really high as a plant needs to come out the box looking fantastic, and occasionally plants that just don't make that grade. They don't look their best, but they are still good quality. Aimed at people with some plant knowledge and time to bring them back to full health.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are house plants?

House plants are plants and trees which are will do well inside the home. Whether they are flowering or green foliage plants they are a great way to add some colour and texture to your living room, dining room kitchen and even bedroom.

Are house plants easy to look after?

All of the green, foliage houseplants we sell are very easy to look after and rewarding. Simply water them from time time, keep in the correct light conditions and they will do very well lasting for years and years. Many of our flowering houseplants are easy going too and will thrive and provide a pretty display.

Are your house plants grown in the UK?

Yes, most of our house plants are British grown but we also import some house plants from Italy and the Netherlands.

Why are most of the house plants green?

Our dry, central heated and often dark homes are not a natural environment for a lot of plants and the ones that cope the best with these conditions tend to be green foliage plants. These green plants have their own beauty and value and there is a huge variety in leaf shape and textures to choose from that can be matched with more brightly coloured dracaena, orchids and cordylines. Green houseplants like spider plants and peace lilies are particularly effective at purifying the air and caring for any plant has been shown to reduce stress and help with positive thinking. Green houseplants certainly add a calming atmosphere to the home and make great gifts for kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and bedrooms.

How long with my house plant last?

This is very difficult question to answer as there are a lot of variables that we cannot account for such as how regularly the plant is watered, how much natural sunlight it receives etc. All our plants come with detailed care instructions and our team are on hand to help with any care questions so we’d normally expect our houseplants to last a minimum of several months and usually for many years. If you ever have any concerns about one of our plants we would always recommend you get in touch as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help.

Can I use the aloe vera plants?

Yes, these are the medicinal aloe vera also known as Aloe barbadensis. The gel from the leaves of the Aloe vera is very soothing for things such as sunburns, blisters and stings. Simply cut one off one the arms and rub the opening on your sore area
